Will there be a Scriptcase v9 and what will be if so?

What I expected:

  1. The bootstrap support: more and more web apps support bootstrap, and it’s going to be a standard of software, I think it will be great if it support bootstrap skins;
  2. Self-defined field types: If there’s a interface to develop user-defined field type in form/control, that will be interest;
  3. Support composer…: look like this one is too much, but composer can use more and more good libs, if SC can support composer, that will be great;
  4. Var-defines all in English: the generated code’s variables…, are strange to some others language are not Portuguese, they’re too hard to know it from the var name, please use just English var-names;

Friday there will be a public webinar about SC V9 and all of you can solve a lot of your questions.
All I can say now, base on what I saw on Partners webinar, is that what will be released, is a beta version, not a final version yet. You will see why. And I appreciate they do this. Maybe we are in times of change with SC.

They sent me the wrong time for the webinar, so I only saw the last 15 minutes.
I hope they post the webinar presentation on YouTube soon.

Unfortunately, this is what is happening . . . many new features are dependent on older code . . . which is still buggy.

Until prior bugs are resolved, the application stability will decrease for many of the new features added, and the cost to fix problems will only increase over time.

Spending the effort to fix what is broken first - improving the overall application framework - is well worth the effort.

Great database administration tool.

Does somebody knows the version 9 release date ? I have been migrated my web fronted from the SC to the yii framework during the waiting time (from postponed date to the another postpone). Im thinking about the backend migration too. Thanks to workarounds of workarounds needs (as described above) SC teach me PHP programming, css and html very quickly :-). The second question is the old SC code usage - to tell the true, I hope the next SC version (9) will solve principal troubles (database structure changes, availability tu use templates as templates, huge unused code downloaded by browser, lack of debuging which leads me to solve troubles by the method “try to change something and see what happens”, no chance to share url links of pages + indexing them on the goole, etc.)

You may likely have to wait sometime before those issues are resolved.

As many have already stated here - waiting for a stable release, with prior bug resolved - makes more sense for everyone.
