10 minute to generaye a data grid

I use SC8 connect an old MySQL (5.0) database. Generate source code of one grid takes 10 minute. The grid only contain search and grid, no detail, summary and chart. I created 2 grid and the project generation is hang up at the “Generating source-code” screen.

I select transactional and non-transactional in the database connection without improvement, use PDO made the generation hang up at the select application screen.

It’s not the problem of SC setup, because I can generate PostgreSQL DB grid in seconds.

I just want to know what degrade the generation of the MySQL gird.

After a while, the generation hang up. The apache error log is as follow:

Is this issue happening to a specific Grid? If so, is it viable to create a new grid application?

It now became “Internal Server Error” all the time. No matter generate source code, update version, or others.

I reinstalled a clean CentOS 6.5 and the result is the same. No matter 8.0.000 or 8.0.002, every time when I execute “Update Version”, it return “Internal Server Error” after I click “Download and Install updates”. But the “Check ScriptCase Update” and “Search for Updates” looks O.K. “Search for Updates” returns “Updates found:4193”, so, I think my network has no problem.

Please advice what is the matter. The apache error log;

You could perform a manual update to work with our latest version. Backup your Scriptcase folder before doing the procedures listed below:

Actually, I did the manual install at the first time according to your instruction on converting SC7 to SC8. And downloaded the following:
scriptcase-8.0.002-en_us.tgz

The install is successful except convert the project from SC7 to SC8. But upon generating source code, it return “Internal Server Error”.

So, I start fresh install on CentOS 6.5, CentOS 7 and Windows Pro 7. Only the Windows version is successful with “Version Update” and “Generating Source Code”. The 2 CentOS is failed.

I noticed slow down too.

A simple grid of 6 number fields, without lookups or anything, 50 seconds for generate :confused:

What are the O/S you use ? I encountered slow down at first and later became “Internal Server Error”.
