A couple newbie questions

Hi All,

I am not new to IT, but I am very new to web technology and I have a few questions that I suspect are cases of where I am overlooking things.
I am using the Chinook sample database to learn from and I created a Customer grid.

  1. In the first column there is the ellipses that you click on to go to the detail form. Is there some way to add a label to that column? And / or change the ellipses to something else, like an icon of some sort?
  2. After clicking on the ellipses I am taken to the detail form. I want to make some changes to that form, but I cannot find anywhere to make those changes (like column names for example). Where are the options that drive the look of that form?

Hi GunterElbl,

That actually does help. As I try to figure out which way is up with this tool knowing which defaults to take and which ones to replace or override is helpful. :slight_smile:

Which actually brings up an interesting question:
Is there a ScriptCase Best Practices Guide anywhere?
I have searched around, but I haven’t managed to zero in on the right keywords yet. Or maybe there isn’t one?

BTW, nice website. I will have to go through your snippets ~ they look both interesting and helpful.
