It will be helpful to know what is not working.
Can you lay it out here?

this sounds like a painful experience , full of frustration.
migration to php8 will be challenging
just giving 20 days is NO GO for me. I have different customers, some are on php 7, with no plans so far as i know to migrate wordpress etc.

what am i supposed to do?

the licence has to support different version of php , at least 7 and 8 at the moment. We want to switch from php versions seamlessly. It is a task of SC dev env to pull all right version files. Not ours. By the way , it is not a rocket science, it was like forever in visual studio and in many php frameworks, for instance phpstorm allows to run dev and production on different php versions and switch versions seamlessly

forking installation is painful but i guess is workable , but these 20 days ?
also we will not get updates for SC on PHP7. It will stay 9.7 whatever bugs will be found.

I think SC is a great company nevertheless with a good quality/price ratio. hope they will find an acceptable solution for us. Right now, i do not see how they bridge continuity. If our build software does not work or has many bugs, our client will leave to other platforms eventually.
