And more weird behaviour of Scriptcase

When deleting a browser-cache sometimes it’s necessary after that to re-configure the database-connection.

Why is this? Could this ‘feature’ be removed from the system?

Hello scriptfan,

Please try to be more specific on your topic name.

Scriptcase doesn’t depend on your browser cache to save the database connection. Please make sure that apache’s user has writing permissions under the folder you are deploying your system.

im familiar with the idea that the cache of the browser should not influence the implem?ntation of the scriptcase-app, BUT it does, this has happened several times. do something with cookies or the cache and hopla: the scriptcase app starts nagging about missing database-connections. and usually connections, which are not even used in the app.

this is very strange, bartho.

Yes, I would admint there is definitely something going on with SC and connection strings. Create a connection with a simple App (grid+form), then go and change a database to something else (i.e SQLite), then change some SQL SELECT code.
You will see very strange things happening

there are MANY, MANY, MANY cache-problems in scriptcase. all sorts of things that keep wandering through the system and popup on the most unwanted and unexpected moments.

some people call these bugs.
