Apache fails to go online (development machine)

Hi Scriptcase comunity!

I’m using Ubuntu 15.10 64 bits as the development machine. The data base i’m using is mysql.

I’ve been developing my first comercial application for over a month (Scriptcase newbie, but been a long term php developer)

I use the Linux Standalone Scriptcase installation and everything was ok for a month.

On the last ubuntu update, the apache (apachesc81) service fails to go online. In the process list is actually on, but the 8081 port is closed.

I’m not a fluent Linux user/admin, and have not a clue on hot to bring up the service.

I’m unsure to reinstall Scriptcase (danger of loosing the proyect, config, licence info) I’ve a recent proyect export for backup, but i’m reading other irritated users writing about failures to reinstall therir backups…

Check if your 8081 port is in use or somehow blocked by a firewall.

Aducom:

The 8081 port wasnt even open (verified by nmap). A few dozen of reboots later, with no mayor modifications, the Apache service went up. I’m now working again, but with no so much confidence.
