Back Ups

Good morning,

Struggling a bit with understanding the backups in Scriptcase. I’m using Windows 7.

  1. It appears that to “restore” a backup, you’re to select a *.zip file - but when I go to the location of my backups, there are just a bunch of *.bkp files in the folder/directory that is named as I named the backup. Am I just to zip that backup folder, and then select it for the restore? I’ve got too much time invested in my apps now, and don’t want to break anything in my learning process.

  2. Just to be sure, it also appears that the backup process backs up ALL applications, not just the one I have opened. Is that correct?

Sorry, I know they’re probably newbie questions, but I’ve looked all over and can’t find anything related to this. All the backup / restore notes I’ve found refer to selecting a zip file, and I don’t have any?

Thanks in advance,

Mark.

Ok - figured it out now. I’m thinking that backing up the application is the entire project - but it’s each individual form / grid e.t.c. - so I can restore just that one form / grid e.t.c. when I’m having issues with a particular form / grid e.t.c., verse restoring the entire project. Thought I’d note this here in case someone else was misinterpreting it too. Thanks.

I am currently using Ahsay Software. It is basically designed for managed service providers (MSPs) to provide online backup service to their customers. It comes with the most comprehensive features that can fulfill all the on-premises backup, online backup, offsite backup, and cloud backup. Once you try this Software for backup.
