best practice for using charset of mysql

hey guys, do you have problem when selecting the UTF8 CI ? whenever I do chose this, SC inform me repeatidly that it is UTF8 and if i want to go back to windows 1252 or something… is that okay? because when creating/altering tables i get sometimes SQL error and changed data is not saved (only when when using the database builder that comes with SC)

any information regarding this issue is appreciated

That’s odd, useually if you use a utf8 database Scriptcase will ask you to change the settings of scriptcase to utf8 too. Which I can advise to do.

ok then will test the opposite and if anytime else i got that error message i will get it for you as a scrrenshot Albert
