How can i fix this bug?

Hello Alvagar,

Are you working with Image (Filename) field?

Hi, bartho, yes i have a field type varchar(120).

Hello,

Issue reported to our bugs team.

regards,
Bernhard Bernsmann

Afaik this is the same bug we reported a while ago in version 6. Filepaths are set to empty when you deploy your application. See post of rr.

I reported this bug some time maybe 6 months ago. i need finish a project and i do not know what do in this case.
anyway, thank you for your response.

Try to find the post of rr. He’s pretty clever in finding work-arounds.

I have same problem, Did you Fix it or let us know Work around…ASAP…

Even I’m having this bug now more than 6 months ago
its really need to fix this issue…

Hello,

Are you guys having the same problem on SC 6 or SC 7?

regards,
Bernhard Bernsmann

yes even in v5

I was waiting since my v5, than v6 and now v7
but the bug didn’t fixed yet…

I have clearly stated where the bug is in V6, I havent checked the generated code in V7 but I bet it is buggy too. The main .php file (in V6) is not properly initialised in the first couple of lines. Hence V6 file uploading didnt work.
See elsewhere on the forum and pleeeeaaaase fix it so I dont have to patch the generated code by hand anymore…

Mr. Bartho,

You know very well what we are talking here,
yes the bug has since v5 for sure…

coz. I’m stuck with my client since I have v5.

I think that is the momet of SC team must take action on this bug. or create a way for we can fix this problem. i think that much person have the same error.
from version 6 to 7 is this error.

I totally agreed with ‘alvagar’ the problem must have to solve.

Hello guys,

I’m not pretending that I do not know what you guys are talking about. I have reported the issue to our bugs team, and then I asked you if you were facing the issue on SC 6, SC 7, or both so I can tell our bugs team that the issue happens on any SC version, or maybe that is only happening to SC 6, and so on.

regards,
Bernhard Bernsmann

In version 6 there are bugs and in version 7 there are even more bugs.
I described the bugs in detail for downloading in version 6.
With it comes that in sc 6 you can not upload under windows 7 and IE9 but you can using windows 7 and firefox.

SC7 file uploading is just not working at all, I wonder why nobody at scriptcase has even checked the code.

and then I asked you if you were facing the issue on SC 6, SC 7, or both so I can tell our bugs team that the issue happens on any SC version, or maybe that is only happening to SC 6, and so on.

Are you serious? Are you delivering products without even a decent test? How difficult can it be to create a small app and just watch what it is doing. If you look at my movie, all the steps are a few minutes of work. This looks like you are deploying some version, then wait for the community to report errors. That’s exactly what I mean with quality control. This is not an open source application, but a commercial application. Customers have expectations. At least my customers have…

I am having the same problem in SC7 , maybe not all people is using file upload feature, but i need it pretty badly…

This is my work around :
By the way, How can i call in a Menu Form a php file that contains a html Form (I have that php/html that can upload files to my web site) ?

Best regards…

Yes with SC7.
