Cannot connect to database for Scriptcase sample application

I just downloaded Scriptcase and attempted to download and execute the Online Shop sample application.
When I progressed to the database connection area and attempted to use the local host for my database connection,
I got the following error:

mysql_connect(): No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

I also received the following error on a popup screen:

127.0.0.1 is not responding

Do you have a mysql database running? If you download SC it will have Apache on board but no database. So I guess you don’t have MySQL on your system.
