Change Upload Directory on Production

I understand that I can change the file directory for uploads in the Advanced options in the deploy, but I am confused what I should change it to.

I want to put the files in the directory of my website, so that would be /home/ding/public_html/Img where /home/ding/public_html is the root on my server. For the sake of this discussion my website is named ding.

What do I set the Images Folder in the Advanced Deployment options to???

I have tried quite a few things but have not been successful.

Thanks

Re: Change Upload Directory on Production

I decided to just leave the default directory structure alone, however I can’t seem to upload image or document files to my server.
It just sits at Processing forever.

Any ideas?
Alan

Re: Change Upload Directory on Production

I sent you private email, but I will repeat it here for others.

I deploy to Zip, upload ZIP to server using FileZilla and then use SSH terminal to copy, unzip and set permissions from there. Somethings just need to be handled manually I guess.

I have deployed numerous apps using this approach with zero problems.

I perceive SC5 deploy to be experimental. Hopefully it will mature with the product.

Scott.
