Can SC be used to develop a real time Chat Tool like the main page in SC? Any samples or has anyone done it?
You can because you can build anything you like even in scratch php. But I recommend you watch for alternatives too, as there are a lot of great (open source) tools to do so.
Yes i have created a LiveChat for support using scriptcase. You can use ajax or WebSockets www.pusher.com. But if you dont have time to develop your own chat, use that open source tools that aducom says.
