What do you mean, the setting is not saved, or ignored or?
Encoding can be frustrating as the php environment, database AND the connection needs to be configured right.

Hello Albert

It’s ignored !!! actually client_encoding is on ‘latin1’ I don’t know why , I changed to ‘utf8’ after saving I edit my connection and it remained on ‘latin1’

Thanks for answering

Any idea ???

Actually no, the only thing I can think of that the issue is not on your connection, but on your database itself or your application. There are 3 things involved here. You define your database for encoding, you define your php and you need to define your database connection (ie. pdo) with the correct encoding. They have to match.

I understand Albert, I will check that …

Thanks
