Custom buttons not shown in a link form

Create a grid and a form on an empty table, make an application link. Create a button on the form and enable it for insert and update. Make the relation of type IFrame below. The crud buttons will appear in the header of the grid. The custom buttton will not appear. As soon as there is at least one record then the button will appear in both situations.
Afaik this is a very old bug reported before.

This seems to be back.

It has never been solved :frowning:

June… July … October… I think I may be in the market for another development solution.

SC - Seriously. This needs to be fixed. This is basic functionality that is just being totally ignored. There are a lot of free options out there. You need to be doing things better if you want to retain your users. Dojo Tools comes to mind for me. PHPrunner is another.

Dojo is ‘just’ a javascript library. Other generators might be an option, but I advise to look good before you decide. At least they where never an option for us… believe me.

There are very nice things in Scriptcase but when simple, obvious things are not been rectified, the bad is greater than the good it can do - for me anyway. I looked at a lot of solutions before choosing SC. I still have upgrade options on the other solutions and with time these solutions are surpassing SC with a lot of things. As you said in another post - SC is changing slooowly in a good way - I just hope it isn’t to little too late.
I think, like you have said numerous times before, they really should freeze development of new functionality and do a thorough bug fixing exercise.

Hasn’t been reported already? This call has been a problem for months!!! Bernhard, please see that this is treated with urgency. This is basic functionality that should JUST work. Not a complex chart.
