Links inside Dashboard doesn’t use the security module.
I have a dashboard with links widget (simple grid). But some of this grid are just viewed by administrators and other by users. Dashboad show all grids without security restriction

I have the same problem.
On the dashboard the widget with a grid application will be shown
also for users which has no access rights to the grid application.
But then they get an error message.
Better would be that the widget will not shown on the dashboard.
