The functionality is different between grids and forms on formatting of dates.
I can do a Jan-12-2022 in a grid, but not on a form.
This creates a lot of end user questions and frustration
In the date field, goto regional settings. Turn it off. Change the date separator and in display select mm-yyyy
That works for me in Grid, not in a form.
Also, I would prefer not turning off the Regional, so that it can be formatted Jun-2-2022, or 2-Jun-2022 etc
