Does the Security Module do anything?

I am trying to implement Group > Application security permissions using the provided Security Module.

I have two groups, the default “Administrators” and “Members”.

One user is assigned to Administrators and the rest to Members.

I then allocated allowed applications and permissions to the groups, after “re-syncing” the applications of course.

Looking at the Group/Applications table for each group everything appears as I would want it.

However, on log-in the “Members” group seems to enjoy Administrators’ priviliges!?

What have I missed? Or, as was the case in 2009/10 when I last used SC, is the security module still not working?

maybe this helps.

When a user makes an account. what memebership is he given? look in the app_login app in the security map
