I have sent a support ticket to SC but they have not honored me with a response
SC7 - In the "new features " video the claim is made that:
Using an editable grid -
a)Allows editing in a modal form - THIS WORKS
and
b)Allows adding a new record in a modal form - THIS DOES NOT WORK
THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN FIXED!!
Any advice ?
Issue b is new to me, will look into the documentation. But if this is what you want then it’s pretty easy to achieve in a standard way: Create a form which you want to show in a modal way. Then create a grid on the same table, allow adding new records. Create an application link, and in this menu you can set the form to be called modal. Now if you generate and run the grid, you will see a pensil and a new button. Clicking on one of them will open a modal form containing the form you have created earlier. The background will stay, but will become a bit gray.

Are you linking a Grid to a Form Application? Or are you trying to add a new record in a modal from a Form Application?
