I have a Editable Grid View but when I use the Modal edit option if I do a quicksearch first I get an error when I try to edit the detail:
If I dont use the Modal it works ok:
Am I doing something wrong?

Answered my own question… might help someone else… I just went with the default options and the problem was that it was trying to display a field in the detail that I was not set to display on the grid.
Since I didn’t want that field displayed anyway, once I turned it off… it worked!

if yes, then play with your quick search fields and see what happens… try limit the search fields and the criteria?
anyway, modal is not so friendly, needs java and many browsers shows is very ugly, why do u use that anyway!? just saying
