Error Restoring Backup

I backed up my entire SC apps (not export) from an older version of SC ver 8 a while back for just the current scenario - a machine crash. So I installed the latest SC version and tried to restore/ import but get the attached error. This defeats the whole essence of a backup. How do I resolve this as on the download portion of SC site, there are no older versions of SC 8 available.

By installing the scriptcase version that belongs to the backup and then migrate to the current version. Personally for crashes I always create a full binary backup of the whole directory containing scriptcase. That always works.

I lost the drive where the backup resides and at http://www.scriptcase.net/download-old-version/, older versions start with v7. There is no older v8.

Then the only solution I see is to contact scriptcase support by chat.

Heh heh. No way Jose!

@Albert:
The whole directory containing ScripCase comes to over 1.2 Gigabyte. I guess that one could perhaps take a full backup when updating ScriptCase, but for other in between backups just backup the …\scriptcase\app directory contents with the actual applications. Would this work or are there interdependent relations from the applications to the files in the other ScriptCase subdirectories (besides that the version of ScriptCase must be the same as the one the applications was created with)?
