It seems something went wrong with the latest Windows 11 update. I can start the ScriptCase development environment and work very slowly, but I can barely start any projects locally. The login window and the main menu still open, but if I try to start, for example, the calendar, it just spins and spins until I get a connection error: “Cannot connect to 127.0.0.1:8093!” It must be related to the Windows update. I restored a verified Windows installation, then tested ScriptCase and my project, and everything was fine! After the update, I tested it again, and that’s when the error appeared!
It turns out that the problem isn’t caused by the Windows 11 updates, but by Firefox version 148.0, which I downloaded from the app store in 2023! Even with a clean install of Firefox, working locally with apps becomes unbearably slow.
