I dont want a menu/tabs displayed on top or left. Instead, I would need a floating button at (left side at mid). When I click this button, menu should pop up and let me chose the relevant page.

This would mean that you cannot use the standard menu but need - somehow - custom code to get things done. If you have a suitable library to do that you can consider to create a blank application and put your code into that or create a library and use onscriptinit event to incorporate the code. But I realy don’t see the advantage of using SC at all then as you will need a lot of customized coding.
