FOOTER alignment

SC does not calculate columns properly. I think the columns should be represented by Page Width percentage (like it happens on forms) or all object (except COLUMN1) defined in footer will appear in wrong locations. As you see in screenshot below I have several values defined the the 3rd column (which I would like to appear at the very right bottom corner) shows up almost on the middle. The settings make really not much sense (unless one is designing for 800x600 screen). SC needs to recalculate columns positions properly and at this point all the positions are relative to the left side of the page (not taking into consideration menu screen width).

here is the affect of the setting (where shorter arrow marks the position of the 2nd column).
In this case I use Scriptcase-Expanded template

Hello,

This is just one of the available templates as an example in ScriptCase. You can create the template the way you want, using the HTML templates.

ok, so where can I find the file representing the Expanded template ?
and why can’t NetMake make it look good by default ?
modifying any SC code brings lots of problems when SC is updated or reinstalled and this should be only ‘last resort’ approach.

Hello,

Show me with paint or any image editor, as you wish.
I can do the HTML for you.

John - thanks for replying. I understand your point that all templates can be modified, but many developers do not have the comfort of spending extra time editing templates, CSS, HTML etc, because they need to get the work done ASAP. There is simple relationship - the more time we put into coding the less sense makes to use SC. I hope you understand this.
I would like to see all columns spread evenly on the screen that’s all. At this moment it seems that the header / footer templates are not fluid.
I think it would be nice for each entry to have extra property (sort of like in the text editor) to adjust the alignment (i.e LEFT, RIGHT, CENTER, JUSTIFY). This way the last setting would make the columns look always good. Since SC supposed to accelerate development time as 4GL tool, this would also eliminate extra time for playing with HTML/CSS to make it look god.

I think that integrating SC with some kind of template modeling tool (i.e Dreamweaver, Artisteer or something similar) becomes crucial!

Hello,

I agree with you. I will treat this case as a suggestion and send it for development team.

Thanks John. Please make an update when this is resolved !
