I’m having some difficulty doing what my client wants to see on creating ‘New’ records. Maybe you can direct me to a solution.
I have a messaging feature where the user can select from several sources of email/text recipients. I have a ‘grouped’ button that drops down so the user can make these choices. All works great on the ‘update’ mode. But when creating a NEW record this ‘grouped’ button still displays the button but it does not function (no dropdown). All the other form buttons except ‘Add’ and ‘Cancel’ are hidden in the NEW record mode. I think the ‘grouped’ button should also be hidden in ‘NEW’ record mode as the user thinks, rightly so that if he can see it it should be working.
Next, he only wants to create 1 new record at a time and then return to the ‘update’ mode for record completion and sending. But once in ‘NEW’ mode you have to ‘CANCEL’ to get out of it. Is there a way to set it for only 1 at a time?
I know this is kind of confusing and hard for me to explain. If needed I could post a link to a video showing my problem.
