I’d like to see more options for the Google Maps field. The Google API has a lot of options. Basic options should include the option to get driving directions, show the location address / name on the map etc.
I would also like to have options to control New Window from the menu or other app links in SC. We should have the option to determine window dimensions and tool bar settings on the browser without having to use custom javascript.

Yes, I agree. Also the ability to generate the file needed by google maps to display multiple poits on one map - so that multiple records selected form a table on our project can all go on one map.

I am surprised that bugs, ideas and suggestions posted by users on the forum are not taken seriously!!
We get some email address to post our queries all the time!!!
Why have a forum if you want only emails?

I’d like to see a lot more activity on this forum from users too. I understand that SC admins make their living from the sale of SC and support. No problem with that, but users should be able to find answers to simple problems here in the community of users. I try to help when I can, but I’m new to this script. We need a lot more activity on here for this script to grow.

I agree 100% and just posted something similar a couple of days ago. The best thing is for everyone to try to reply and help explore answers.
I really like SC - the v6 has a lot of power and it does take a bit of time to master each feature of it. Code generators should not be seen as some sort of easy way out - SC does generate some great stuff, but it is the knowledge of modifying it thru code and links and such that make it a powerful tool.
I think the problem is that many of the people posting in the forum are looking at everything as a SC bug or problem. Really, 95% of the things here are users (me included) trying to do new things with SC. I wish more people would participate - I have some posts I created on topics that I need ideas on, and no replies.
On the other hand, SC support has always responded to me in a few days with help with solving bugs, or things I thought were bugs. So I have no problem sending them a support ticket or email with an idea or actual bug - so they don’t miss seeing it here. To think that the software developer staff are sitting and reading all forum posts is not realistic.
This mapping idea is a great example. It would be nice if SC integrates more of the google map api into SC, but we should be able to accomplish the same things in our own code using events, methods, and even blank apps. I would hope someone out there has some google map experience might be able to help us out

Right on target. I’ve found that if something seems too difficult, most likely I am doing something wrong. A lot of thought went into making this script and the fact that they allow all kinds of custom code to be entered into events or methods really extends it’s power.
I SC will encourage a thriving forum community this script will grow.
