I have a grid view which is linked to a form.
On my grid view I have a Add New button that is displayed by the link that was created.
When I click on the Add New button it shows my form but I have then click on Add New again to open into an editable form.
Is there a way to have the Add New on the grid automatically open the form with a new record ready to be added?

I think that you are mistaken. You can edit the form and then click on add new. It will save your record and add a new one. This way you can enter more records after each other. You can change this behaviour though that after save you get into edit mode.
