Hiding folders in the ide in 9.12.023

9.12.023

the folder structure seems ok now.

but how do i hide folders from the right pane in the home tab of the sc ide?

I shoud disable the “Show folder at home” option in the “My Scriptcase” settings, right?

But in 9.12.023 there’s no such option:

I think this was broken from version 021 or 022

@robydago,

With the performance improvements made to the directory structure on the application home page, this option had to be removed and is no longer listed. From now on, subdirectories will always be listed alongside the applications.

We appreciate the feedback and will request adjustments to the documentation.

Best regards!

@Danilo_Lima

This makes searching in all applications unusable.

See the image below.

Only one app matched the searched string, but the whole folder tree is shown in the right pane (see the size of the vertical scroll bar).

Why?

Also

"With the performance improvements made to the directory structure on the application home page, this option had to be removed "

So basically, you’re saying that they are not capable of improving the performance while keeping an option to hide the folders in the right pane.
Sounds rather strange…

Please roll back to the old code for handling folders. Don’t know who had performance issues with it, but folders were usable before this change.

Thanks for the feedback.

Indeed, the organization isn’t quite right when we’re in “All Applications” and running the search. We’ve already reported the issue so that it can be fixed.

As a temporary workaround to get the desired result, you can run application searches from the “root” directory, as this will get the desired result (i.e., without listing the directories along with the applications).

As soon as the fix is released, we’ll provide feedback through this thread.

Best regards!

@Danilo_Lima

you can run application searches from the “root” directory

Thanks!
