how to erase an app without any name ?

Hi Friends,

in one project the Sc8.1 have a fail, then the app that I was working is saved without any name

now I can?t erase it
can’t move it

hoiw to erase this app ???

I woul try to export an import agaim the project as a new name to see if import solves it. If not, You will need to manually delete related records inside scriptcase configuration database

Locate the local database, it’s a sqlite database
Copy it to a safe place, just to be sure
Download an open-source sqlite db application like sqlite expert
Then I’m not sure as it has been a long time, but if you look into the table data you will find your entry with an empty name.
Delete that entry
Done.

Do make a backup of that database FIRST before you do anything!! You can very very easily destroy all your work with one minor mistake!!

Why? Fill the empty name with a value and you can delete the app with sc. That’s the better approach …

I agree on that, never considered it though. Must be my age :wink:

As an afterburner, deleting a project does cause leftovers in your database, as well as deleting an application from your project. Once you create something of the same name you might run into problems due to these leftovers.
