How to point to the right directory ?

Hello,

After installation of a new web server, the adress 127.0.0.1:8090/scriptcase doesn’t response anymore. I reinstalled Scriptcase in a new folder but now I have the demo version (the browser is pointing to the new folder).
How to point to my old/real folder (where Scriptcase is registered) which is still on my computer ?
I’m using wampserver64.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely

Go to: OPTIONS -> Settings. There is a place to set PATH to necessary folders. I would recommend restarting SC or better yet PC in order to properly initialize.

Hello Jean,

Thank you for your answer.
I modified all the paths in the option menu and restarted the system. Unfortunatly it didn’t work :-\\ I’m still having the demo version as login page.

Sincerely

You need a new serial number.
Log in to your account at Scriptcase and go to Serials:

  • Request serial for new installation

And that’s that.

Hello Rik,

Thank you for your answer.
I got a new serial number and have now a registered version of Scriptcase. But my files and projects are still on the first installation directory. Simply copy and past them to the directory
C:\Program Files\NetMake\v9\wwwroot\scriptcase\app
doesn’t work :-\\

I have a backup (quite old) of my project and created a new project in the new registered version of Scriptcase : that’s ok
Now how to copy more recent files from the old Sriptcase to the new ?

Sincerely

Scriptcase does not allow this!
You can not just copy folders from an old installation to a new one.
These projects will not be recognized by your new installation.

You can only help by importing old project backups or exported project.
But if you do not have that, your old projects are unfortunately lost.

But if you have old projects from version 8. Then you can make them from the folders using the Convert option from 8 to 9.

So do not delete these old project folders.
If they are from version 9, you will be able to convert them when the new version of Scriptcase 10 comes up.
