Html Image Modal Form Link behavior

I am using a Html Image as link for opening a modal form. The link works perfect (as modal form) and as expected.

But, when I am updating the main record and i press the image link, suddenly the new form opens as parent and not as modal.

Any Ideas?

Is there a reason to enable the HTML Image link while you are editing the current record?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I open another application to get few data. If I use a button instead of html image it works fine but I need to put it next to a field. That’s why I am using html image

Hi, did you fix it? I think it’s a bug. I am having the same problem 7 years later.
