I want my grid to have no results on start up

Currently, on start up, my grid pulls up the first 10 records of 12,000 pages of records. I want my initial grid to have zero records displayed, then the user will have to do a search for the specific records he wants. How can I do this? I cannot find a setting anywhere in SCv6 for that.

Why don’t you just start in “Search Mode”?
Grid - Settings - “Start by Search”.

Thanks. That helps. I noticed that, seemingly randomly, in the search window, beside each field, instead of getting a combo box to select “Equal, Containing, Starting with” etc. some fields only have a label them with the word “Equal”. Is this normal? Or is it a bug? I’m using Firebird 2.5 with my SCv6 and I’m finding that SCv6 has trouble with Firebird BIGINT field and BLOB SUB_TYPE TEXT field types.

No, that’s not a bug. In the left pane under “Search” select “Search Criteria”. Here you can fine tune your search/filter options. If there is only one option enabled it makes no sense to display a combo box.
