I will buy a tech support license if you build this for me!

The date field type…in the “Values format” segment…the developer has options:

  • Display Format
  • Display Calendar

I NEED THE CALENDAR TO BE OPEN (Displayed), AND STAY OPEN (Displayed) AT ALL TIMES

I have power users I’m trying to convince to come over to my SC8.1 app from a high performance Windows .exe app, and I must replicate some of the basic functionality they need.
Because the current calendar always pops closed after selecting a date, it adds thousands of mouse clicks to their day. I’m going to get sued for causing repetitive strain injury if I try to use the current calendar.

So, can I get NetMake to add a couple of options to the calendar field component:

  • If “Display Calendar” is selected, then one more option needs to be available:

    • Keep calendar displayed

If this option is selected, the calendar on the date field is initially displayed, and stays displayed, no matter how many times you click it to select a new date.

Thank you NetMake team!

I will even pay (some reasonable amount) to get you to build this NOW-ISH so I can have it in a future update to 8.2… like say… within 6 weeks from now.

Thanks!

(Guys, I’m already paying for private mentoring to use NetMake, so I did not need NetMake tech support, that is the only reason I did not buy it yet)

Remember I’m not talking about the calendar “app”… I’m talking about the little calendar that is attached to a Date field.

First, this is a user forum. I doubt that any netmake technician or sales consultant will ever read this. You need to adress this by email to scriptcase. Then regarding your issue. If netmake would consider to have a full data display then they have to apply that to the development environment. I think that they will need to change the date object (which would be a good thing at itself). But that will require time, probabely more than you have. Technical support - not sure how it is now - but to me has been a waste of money.

All good points aducom. I’ll email NetMake directly.
