Infinite Scroll - Can we no longer have a bottom toolbar?

Just started to play with the infinite scroll feature, and as a concept I like it heaps, but there is one thing that seems to have been disabled. The bottom tolbar.

I know it also does not like nested grids, where you click on an icon to open a child grid under the record row, but I can get around that issue with an image field linked to the child grid in a modal window,

However, I also wanted to see a total of the records in the whole grid, but I cannot get this to display on the top toolbar and no bottom toolbar is displayed.

Is this normal behaviour? or is it some regression issue?

Thanks

Tony

Sadly, I don’t played with infinite scroll yet, but, if footer is not contemplated, did you tried simulating a group by? Just for fun…

Thanks Giu

Sorry for late thanks - just had a unexpected hospital stay in Bali for 12 days with a collapsed lung.

Back at the hotel now, so I am just getting back to a bit of work.

I can get a summary for totals, but it only appears at the very bottom of the grid, so is not visible until you get there.

I have had some moderate sucess using a footer and local variables for number of rows, but formatting a string variable for sums of columns is proving a bit tricky.

Will have to lodge a support request for missing features.

Checked with support and it is not a feature (at this stage) to have the summary row displayed anywhere except at the bottom of the grid, so it is a show stopper for me. I have emailed the suggestions for improvement to Scriptcase, but for now it is back to the standard grids. Pity as it has lots of potential, and I have spent enough time trying to find a work around.

Thanks Brad,

A great read, and puts things back in perspective. I thought it was a Scriptcase initiative, but now I can see I have been engaging with it was a while now with facebook - duh!
