Found a unique situation that seemingly is only happening on iPad X tablets and I was hoping someone else ran into this issue and maybe has a work around or fix for it.
I built a form in scriptcase for the end user to enter in data from their paper form. This is just a basic, no additional coding added, scriptcase generated single form. The paper form is 8.5x11 so as the user enters data they will have to scroll down on their screen to enter the information on the bottom of their form. What is happening is, when a user selects a field from the bottom of the screen to put in their information, the screen automatically scrolls back to the top of the page before they can input anything, resulting in them having to scroll back down to enter the data. This happens for every type of field. I have tried to simulate this on the equipment I have on hand which are Android and Windows products and I don’t have this issue. I had the client test the form on their iPhone and it works just fine. Another client tried on their older version of iPad and it works fine. I’ve heard that Apple quit using Java and that there was a library an Apple user could download and install but I’ve never worked with iPads/iPhones so I have no idea what they are talking about or even where to get it. Has anyone else run into this or heard of this happening, and if so, how or is it even possible to fix this?
I don’t have an iPad X so I have no way to play with it or test it and I know it’s not a Scriptcase issue because it works literally everywhere else. And for those wondering, no, I did not have the refresh the page option selected in the application for any of the fields, nor did I install any outside libraries or even use extra java or coding, however, this program is still written in Scriptcase 8.1 because it won’t import into 9. Keeps timing out halfway through and won’t process. Weird isn’t it?
