Is PHP 7.2 valid to use?

From what i understand PHP 7.0 is the latest recommended version for ScriptCase 9x.
Is that true? Or can I use PHP 7.2?
Has anyone done this yet?

I’m running 7.0 (the one provided wth SC) in development to run the SC IDE and 7.2 in production (fedora 29) to run the deployed applications
It works but no guarantee.

Ok, that is good to know - I will be upgrading ubuntu 16.04, php7.0 to php7.2, snapshot first => thank you for the input, i will tell you how it goes

Hi Scripter. I have troubles with AJAX events with SC 9.2.016 and 9.3.003 under PHP 7.1 and PHP 7.2.
I recommend you to stay at 7.0

Thanks tfertil! Much appreciated! I will hold off until I hear of the official release from ScriptCase. As a side note, a tech support technician from ScriptCase also responded they are not supporting users to upgrade at this time.

Any news on when PHP 7.2 will be ready for use. I will be forced in June 2019 to use PHP 7.2. My service provider are doing this due to security reasons. I have done a few tests and found several things not working.

Mine still have some issues with PHP 7.2. Some apps needed to be modified to use with 7.2 but most of them worked.

Deploying to PHP 7.2 we had problems when clicking the New button in a form. We got the error message:

count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable

So we currently do not use anything above PHP 7.0 for Scriptcase systems.

i received confirmation that php 7.2 is on it’s way - next release - but to hold off until then. This came from support - I can only guess - it will be summer of 2019.

7.1 seems ok to me, at least for the issue mentioned here. Anyone else tried 7.1?

Nope. Ajax events are broken in 7.1. I guess I’ll just run an unsupported version of php in production? wtf scriptcase?

Technical Support contacted me and said the next release (9.4) should have PHP 7.2 support.

I Think SC Must work with Last version of PHP. (Current version is obsolet).

Someone in this post said that SC said that 7.2 would be supported in v9.4 - which would explain why I see that others have issues with Ajax on v9.4. It’s a pretty big deal to update to 7.2, imo - especially for those of us using 3rd party hosting.
