Is version 9 a bit slower than 8 ?

Hi all,
nobody of you has noticed that version 9 is a bit slower than previous version. Is it only a my impression ?? I don’t if it’s possible to misurate it in some way.
Bye

Can’t tell. In fact applications should run faster under php 7. At least that’s the theory

Hi , I don’t know in execution and production but on development side it seems a bit slower.

The IDE is demonstrably and significantly slower than SC8.1

That is depressing :frowning:
I still haven’t fired up SC9 yet…I hope it becomes stable soon.

Hello,

Indeed, Zend announced that Zend Guard would be discontinued, and because we wanted to migrate to PHP 7.0, we needed to find other encoders.
We conducted numerous tests and more tests for environmental approval with Source Guardian and ionCube. To ensure maximum security and stability, we chose Source Guardian.

Compared to Zend Guard, Source Guardian is slower though, we made up the difference using PHP 7.0 and also made some improvements to the ScriptCase generator.

We also continue to work with the development team to improve the generation of applications by making them available in ScriptCase updates.

You could provide open source fast IDE and move the SC generator to the cloud or only crypt the engine which generates code.
Overall, encryption won’t provide/ensure income

Thank you John Santos! That makes logical sense. Sounds like you guys had to make a decision that balanced performance and product security.

It was very helpful to have you, a representative of SC, come here and answer this and other questions.

Thanks again,
Jamie
