Joomla articles with SC

I would like to have a page with an article page with some text, images etc, then somewhere inside (around the middle) a grid or form.

I wonder if it is possible to insert a SC GRID/FORM or other SC component into Joomla article ?
Has anybody done so ? Examples ? Any extra plugins/code etc. ?

I use JScriptcase on several websites. You can put SC forms in menu items. I’m not sure if you can integrate a form into an article. Check ilerian.com for this.

I’m a potential customer and do not own a SC license yet. Doing my research if this would be a right tool for me.

I’m fully aware of JScriptcase, and I talked to those guys from ILERIAN , but from our conversation so far look like putting a grid or a form on a page with an article isn’t so easy. Their explanation on if/how this could be done is confusing. I was wondering if anybody has gone through the process and have any opinions. It seems to be a very basic feature to implement SC Apps into Joomla.
For me it is a MUST. If it would take to much effort to do this or it is impossible (well ,…everything is possible it is just a matter of time and cost), I would not even bother buying SC + JScriptcase.

For joomla integration I think it is best to write a module, which isn’t that difficult.

There are plenty of JS grids out there that will integrate with Joomla. SC is more for creating complete apps and not meant as a plugin for websites.

well I would like to have both flexibility of implementing partial App elements (grid/form) within a Joomla article and an ability to link to the App through the menu systems. One of the component which can do something like that is FABRIK, but it is unstable and it improves very slowly. Adding new features takes very long. The idea behind this component is excellend and once they get into speed and the quality (remove bugs), it could be the best database component for Joomla ever. Until then we need to use something. I tried CodeCharge Studio but is is also limited in those features we are looking for.

There is a component which allows to place modules within article and since JScriptcase is a module (I believe) theoretically it should allow to do this. I haven’t tested it yet, and I’m not sure if with the DEMO version I would be allowed to do it at all.

There are ways to put an iframe in an article (extension mosiframe), so you can also put a SC form in the iframe/article. Haven’t tested it, but should work.

When writing a module for Joomla/SC integration the challenge is single sign on. JScriptcase already has single sign on. You cannot build the JScriptcase functionality yourself for the price they ask.

single sign-on could be handled by JFusion (Joomla Extension). Not perfect but I have herd it works. J bought JScriptcase to integrate SC iwth Joomla, but at this moment it doesn’t support placing SC applications within articles, so I’m looking for some way to do this.
I’m might be wrong but is seems that is the form or a grid is placed in an article the access to that document will be handled by Joomla engine and I do not have to worry about this (but I;m not a PHP expert and I;m not sure). On the other hand there are few components which place PHP code in article, but I’m not sure which would work with SC. I have tried something like that with CodechargeStudio but getting it to work properly was a pin because it required lots of modifications and some coding (which I try to avoid).

did you contact JScriptcase? they usually take questions like these seriously and may have a workaround for you.

I did, but at this moment they have no component which will allow to embed an object like GRID or FORM into Joomla article. Perhaps some one who makes such component will have a chance to make few bucks!
