Again a bug. The link from a grid to another grid does not pass the parameters
In my dev it is ok. In de production (LINUX) not. This is very fustrating
There are so many crucial bugs in the moment, I am forced to stop with Scriptcase For me this is a catastrofe.
Never been so bad as in the moment with Scriptcase in a linux environment.
Still the same for sc_redir.

I feel your pain. I have a mature production project running over 2 years that I keep working improving/maintaining, plus a brand new project. What I have done is not upgraded my SC for quite some time. I am running version 9.02.0007 and am afraid to upgrade. It seems like the type of problem you are experiencing is not worth the pain unless they fix some of these major bugs ASAP. I know I lose out on some bug fixes, but I am very slow in adopting new versions. It is hard to test functionality on large projects like mine with 100s of apps, so I am slow in adopting.
I hope they are able to fix the link issue, as that would be catastrophic for my systems.

Hallo Jamie, Thanks for your reply and feeling with me. Yes I asked SC already to give the option for downloading older versions of version 9. So that you can downgrade in case off.
They did not react on that. From now I download a trial ( = offcial) version everytime. As it looks now I am going to stop with scriptcase. Because of the project running it takes me at least one year.
I liked SC because of the nice features, but I though I started with a RAD, but it takes me more time to find workarounds or what …
I hope it doesn’t come to that. Hate to see you go from the community. When it works correctly, I have found SC to be a really great development system. I am not sure why they are still having bug issues on version 9.2 since it has been out for awhile. Maybe they will release a lot of fixes in near future. I am hopeful because I am not aware of a good alternative. Please let me know if you find something comparable. Until then, crossing fingers that fixes come out ASAP :rolleyes:
From the first message, can you explain how you link those 2 grids? I’ve done many times using the link tools, but in other I use the redir macro. I’ve even create links per row, but with different application destiny, based on php logic. That dynamic links also have specific parameters values. I’ve never try the global variables before.

In the “main” grid I make a link on bases of one of the fields (you get a small screen to choose for this) and then I linked to a second grid, but first I made a WHERE clause in the SQL of the second grid. Now you can link the globals in the second grid to a field in the first grid. In the first grid the field you choose is a hyperlink now.
I think I solved the issue. It has something to do with the cache and or memory on my server. Or there has been some improvements in SC in relation with the cache.
But ok it works now
As a general remark on new version of Scriptcase, it is advised to clean browser cache on each update. Too often I run into issues that disappear after cleaning cache.
