Look and Feel

Dear SC,

I think SC is a fantastic product for building business-quality applications in record time, and I have tried about 25 frameworks/generators/methodologies so far…

But there is one thing that would make it even more professional and that would be to improve the look-and-feel of generated applications. For an example of what I mean, take a look at some of the screenshots from these applications:

I think the best way to do this (because you cannot please everyone) is to enhance the CSS/Template editor to the point where we can build our own templates with control of a LOT more of the elements? This would really lift SC generated applications to the next level.

Anyone else out there agree or disagree?

Thanks for a great product.

Re: Look and Feel

I agree 100%.
I like how easy it is to use this product. I’ve been using it for about 1 year now and I still learn something new everyday that makes me like it more…
However, the template system is horrendous. I’ve had to create my own “templates” using the blank application several times just to make it do what I want.

Also, the calendar is very primitive: it doesn’t let you do a lot of things that people want like multiple colors for events / users, google calendar integration, etc.

But, more freedom with the css and templates is high on my list as well!

Re: Look and Feel

I agree.

I agree. I need calendar solution for one client (security company for schedules) and I have headackes. I love SC don’t worry about that. But calendar - I have to implement one freeware solution for it.
I hope new version will solve my problem.
