I want to make suggestion for master detail. If the form master call form detail without any access for input, update or delete, just display only.
The blank box better disappear from the detail form.
I agree with that. I also recommend that the line number column to have at least a width setting. It is not great to have too wide line number column. In addition, we also need setting if we want the line number is left, center or right alignment.

If you don’t use/need edit functionality on your detail, use a grid application instead.
