master-detail: single button for the update

Hello to all.

master-detail 1: 1:
I would like to perform the update in the master record, and the record in detail through a single button and, perhaps, by carrying out the necessary checks of the validity of even fields in both the master and the detail!

So I avoid the customer to ‘remember’ to press 2 buttons update, in master and detail (which too often does not!)

it’s possible? if so, how?

This is very good suggestion for the team Scriptcase.

You can, with some work with Javascript, and about validations, more work. I mean, you can save detail and then save on master, but if something fails on master you can’t rollback the detail save

in practice, it could be enough to invoke the function nm_atualiza (‘alterar’) of detail (which is usually in rows) from the ‘update’ button of the master! :slight_smile:

It would already be a big step forward!
