My SC7 has no problem memorizing password (to login to IDE) but SC8 refuses that and wants me to type it in every time.
Any ideas ?

Which browser? It works for me in IE 11 and Firefox
Looks like a missing checkbox somewhere. I guess you once clicked that it should not be remembered sometime.
yes, this could be possibly just a browser but not sure where to find it. Hate to clear all sites login cach cause I would have to dig out my Excell file with about 300 passwords to go through and re-register in a browser 
Actually for SC I use mostly F-Fox
