I just found a silly bug with selector field type in modal view.
How to find:
Create a gridview application with Standard Design Theme.
Then link to a formview application, that has a field as selector in “manual mode”.
Insert some items manually.
Then compile all.
And then try them in latest browsers Chrome and firefox.

Result:
This works fine only for Chrome Browser.
IE and Firefox show a crumbled selector. 
Interestingly the selector works for all browsers in ALL OTHER MODES than Modal view.
I suspect that the bug is somewhere buried in the javascript of the Modal view overlay.
Any ideas how to fix this? Highly appreciated
