On a new Windows 10 desktop installation [ licensed ] the ‘New Application’ function is not working, does not seem to attach to database [ SQLite or MySQL ]
Has anyone else experienced this and if yes did you get a resolution.?
I am working [ slowly ] with Netmake/SC to try and identify what has gone wrong. The same level SC installation IS WORKING on my Windows 10 Laptop on the same revision Win 10.
Go figure, this is as frustrating as all hell.
Hi, Ken.
Other functions works? Have you tried the Batch Application create button?
Try stopping the Scriptcase9/Apache service and then running a SQLite diagnostic over the SC Database (you could obtain sqlite3.exe at the SQLite site. Remember to backup your DB file before starting.
Let us know the results!
Hi ‘tfertil’,
My experience so far has been that the Batch Application function also does not work for me.
I am busy right now confirming that I have the required Visual C++ versions installed, funny though earlier today I got them working and created some new apps etc.
After that success I thought ‘well maybe its fixed’ and now I can move on. So I logged out of SC, shutdown my PC and restarted it.
Low and behold on logging into SC again, the problem was there again.
Having a session with NetMake/SC support tomorrow to see if we can nail this issue down.
Will post updates etc as this saga progresses.
Ok, Ken, let us know!
Hi Guys,
GOOD NEWS my SCv9 installation is now working again. After doing extensive cleanups of ScriptCase installs, Xampp installs etc I now have a working SC v9 9.0.043 setup working again.
It would appear that the correct version of PHP 7 AND relevant SourceGuardian LOADER are a must have for development installations.
When I tried a complete manual install I used the latest Xampp, this installed PHP 7.2.4 and the relevant SourceGuardian is 11.2 . Whilst this MAY ?? support SC v9 DEPLOYMENT environments IT DOES NOT support the SC v9 Development environment.
So now I know and have this logged for future installations/upgrades etc.
Moving on I am happy once again and have restored faith in SC.
Happy building guys.
