New User with Questions

Hi all, just getting in to scriptcase. the best answers come from a community so Ill start here :slight_smile:

Like I said Im new and have a few questions…

  1. Ive been using CodeCharge for a few years, altho a great product the support and continuation of the product is questionable. In CodeCharge you can edit your html on the fly Im guessing we can not do this in SC. If we edit the files, Im also assuming that the files will be over written if changes are made?

  2. Im trying to figure out a simple flow and have not seen a example as of yet. Basic flow meaning… create Search page, user enters data and hits search. The result opens a grid page, then when a record is selected a read only record page will open. Ive built my project testing, but I can not figure out how to get search and grid separately. I have a record page that has a search. maybe there is a way to hide grid on a search page then link the result key to a record page… just haven’t found it yet.

Ill keep playing around, Im not against the learning curve here to a new product but since there is a support community I figured I would try to save some time :wink:

  1. No, you cannot edit the html pages, but there are templates you can edit.
  2. You can create a search application, link that to a grid and from the grid you can create a link to the detail.
