No data saved

Hello everyone.

I’m testing Scriptcase to see if it meets the requirements I need.

I created a form, made some blocks etc…and everything was working fine and data was being saved in the DB

Done some tweeks here and there just to “embelish” the thing.

Now, no data is saved in the database, however the app behaves as it should, no errors…nothing.

How can I know what’s happening ?

That’s hard to say. But what might be helpful is to go to application -> debug and set all debugoptions to on. It will show you sql statement before executing. Most of the time this kind of problem is due to some kind of php syntax error but it will give you more info on this matter.

Just tryed your instructions.

It only shows the SQL statement when the form is initialized. Then, if I press update to update the data showed or if I insert a new record, the app behaves as if it was doing its job and no other debug message is shown.

For the second day of trial, this is not going well, as I can’t see any reason for the app to stop working suddenly.

It was working. I only added some validation rules as max characters in 2 fields and made them number only. But even If I revert that it still does not work.

I had the same problem yesterday…today created a new form, thinking I made something wrong last night. But the result is the same. It stops working suddenly

any ideas or help would be welcome as debugging is showing nothing

This is an odd problem. I don’t know if it’s much work to do, but I would start this particular form over. There will be a logical explanation, but sometimes it takes more time to findout then doing it over again.

Indeed, but do add the database table definition too.

I will redo the form once again to see how it goes. But I really can’t understand what’s happening. Scriptcase seemed to be just what I need, but it has to be stable. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Indeed you shall make an upload so that we can check and help you. You learn from errors, but if you do not know where the error is …
