Oracle connection failure: ORA-12514

Hi,

I am new to scriptbase, but not new to DB connections.
Since I installed scriptbase I have been trying to set up an ORACLE connection unsuccessfully.

I followed all the instructions and installed Oracle Instant client and sqlplus.
sqlplus user@mydatabase works!
Having difficulty creating an Oracle connection from within Scriptbase.
I am getting Connection Error

ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor ocilogon(): ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

Are you running on windows? 64 or 32 bit? Details please…
In fact you need the 32 bit instant client installed or the 32 bit full client. We use the full 32 bit client.
This oracle client needs to be installed as administrator on the windows server.

it is to get oracle working on windows server.
The settings to get oracle working properly in scriptcase are not always adequate so you need to do some hacking… (specially httpd.conf).
