When deploying a project to a zip this zip contains apps, which were deleted from the project.
Why is this? And could this ‘feature’ be removed from the system?

Hello scriptfan,
Please try to be more specific on your topic name.
Clear Scriptcase’s temporary archives folder. /scriptcase/tmp and deploy your project again to make sure that SC doesn’t collect any garbage from former deployments.
I will also contact our bugs team regarding this issue.

thanks for your reaction. is this temporary archives folder something only the system manager can access? i have no access to the install of our scriptcase installation.
The “installation” is not the SC but the “publication” of your system. Erase your application and make a new publication. This is because their old applications have different names of the new, have not been subscribed!
Hello,
The temporary archives folder is under your ScriptCase installation folder. If you are on a hosted environment you should look under “public web/scriptcase/tmp”.
If you don’t have access to it, ask your sys manager to delete all files within /scriptcase/tmp, but tell him to keep /tmp folder.

i will do that, but why can’t the programmer do that?
as in drupal. as in typo3. as in silverstripe.
Yes, it would be a ‘clear deploy tmp folder’ button in the settings page or something
the present situation is in fact not workable. should i ask the system manager to empty the cache every time i change something in one of the projects?
update:
my systemmanager emptied the directory and that solved the problem. for now then.
he thinks however this is a bug in scriptcase. one of many.
if i had access to this settings page, which i have not.
Why not write a little helper script to clear the tmp directory. Should be pretty simple since the tmp folder is relative to your SC install folder. SC 7.1 allows you to add buttons to your menu. You could link to the php file you create and clear the tmp right from the SC menu.
Here is an example:

thanks for your reaction. i have no access to this install, but i hope my systemmanager reads this. or else i will tell him. maybe he will do this and maybe not, because:
this is one of the many many shameful bugs in this tool.
why would it put apps from another project in the project being deployed?
and another week has passed without a solution or reaction from scriptcase.
bump bump bump
