PDF Reports samples and instructions

I am really impressed by Scriptcase’s ambition and approach, although I feel there is some room for improvement when it comes to the output formats the system generates. For example, it’s essential that these outputs reflect real-world documents such as order confirmations, product picking lists, receipts, or other similar materials that users regularly work with.

In the sample applications, I came across one that, while well-intentioned, didn’t quite meet expectations—particularly the layout and static frame for the child data, which was meant to be dynamic. It gave me a good laugh, but I see the potential for improvement here. Also, in the sample Point of Sale, I noticed there was no PDF report, which could have been helpful.

That being said, I want to highlight that many other aspects of Scriptcase are well-documented and quite functional, which I really appreciate.

Currently, I’m exploring TCPDF to create a simple receipt, which I expect to be fairly straightforward. The dynamic length of the receipt based on the amount of child data is a very useful feature, although it’s a new challenge for me that will take some time to master.

Keep up the great work, and I’m looking forward to seeing even more improvements in the future!
