Problem Occurs in Automatic upgrade V 9.0.037

When I logged in this morning there was automatic upgrade available so I upgrade the system, It was okay until I exceute the application, there are several errors in each applications. vertually I am being unable to run any application.

This is the error running the control application and form application

This is the error while running the Grid application and Blank application

I resolved the problem by installing the previous version Scriptcase 9.0.036 manually,

There’s a bug in scriptcase 9.0.037 Please do not install it unless you get the confirmation from scriptcase that the bug is fixed.

  1. back up your projects, or back up your scriptcase
  2. re-install the scriptcase manually. 9.0.36 is a stable version.

Upgraded to 9.0.39 this past Friday and haven’t been able to do a thing for the last four days. I receive generation errors, generation hangs, two applications opened at the same time in the program (1 form, 1 control) show the form configuration settings, etc. in both tabs.This happens after I get a generation error/hang. I have even recreated both applications to see if that fixed things. These errors/hangs occur regardless of the applications I open and try to edit/generate. It is not just two of them.

Unfortunately the one thing I didn’t do before upgrading was to copy the scriptcase folder to another folder. I have backups of my projects though. With all of the chat about the bugs, etc. in a lot of the recent version updates and my laziness, I was at 9.0.024. Naresh made note that 9.0.036 was stable but if an earlier version is better that is fine also. I would like to manually re-install one of these “stable” versions. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any links to the previous releases. Could someone point me in the correct direction to download the Linux file?

I have submitted a support ticket but no one has responded yet since this morning when I posted the ticket.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am still running on 9.0.36. I tried to upgrade to 9.0.37 and I had the same error. I contacted Scriptcase and they advice me to roll back to old version manually. I wonder why they don’t test the reliability of the system before the final test. To encounter the bugs is a different thing but messing up the whole installation different thing.

Scriptcase tech support is the poorest I have ever dealt. This product has a great potential but I think some of the top people sitting on SC seems to be very synicle.

Tell me why would you want to use scriptcase if the development time is as much as other framework. Scriptcase only helps with crud functionality but there are so many things you have to trick and twick and eventually the development time get bigger and bigger if your project start to scalate. Their concept of binding everything withing the table is almost deprecating from web development.

They are silent now, they have not updated anything since last version except for fixing few bugs.

I had similar problems with V9.0.039 after auto update and re-applied the update as follows:
[LIST=1]

  • Options->Settings
  • On the side menu Update->ScriptCase Update
  • Click ?Check ScriptCase Update>>? button
  • Some text will be displayed: [/LIST]

    [INDENT]ScriptCase Update[/INDENT] [INDENT]Checking ScriptCase Update version…
    ScriptCase Update version is up to date…
    ScriptCase will analyze your system and search for available updates.
    [Tick Box] Check ScriptCase Manual Updates [Tick Box]
    [Tick Box] Check Production Environment Updates

    [Button] Search for updates>>[/INDENT]
    [INDENT]5. Ensure both boxes are ticked and the click on ?Search for updates>>? button
    6. After some searching the results are displayed and also a log can be obtained
    7. When this procedure is finished, logout (it sometimes logs out automatically) and login again.[/INDENT]

    After this procedure my ScriptCase errors for V 9.0.039 were solved.

    Morning Naresh!

    This is he second time I have used tech support. The first time they were very responsive.

    Do you have the link to download previous versions or if anyone else can point me in the right direction?

    Support suggested that I make sure the memory_limit in my php.ini file was set to 128M which it was. I took a chance and increased it to 256M. Everything seems to be working again, no hangs, no generation errors or hangs, etc. hopefully this was the solution to my problem

    NEVER EVER HAVE PROJECT OPEN WHILE RUNNING SC UPDATE or you can expect very drastic damage to your project. We have learned this the HARD WAY :frowning:
